Advenix's Privacy Policy

Advenix regards the protection of consumers', clients' and affiliates' privacy rights as a fundamental element of our business. This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for Advenix, Inc as related to services provided to our clients and affiliates and to their customers (End-Users) who interact with our services.

Advenix works with leading websites and internet properties to run opt-in email marketing programs. Advenix operates as a third party vendor that sends email marketing programs on behalf of our clients and affiliates. Advenix's role in supporting our clients may include delivery of email, hosting the actual subscription collection site, tracking results of email campaigns, analysis of data, and transferring collected data back to the client. These services are provided using a combination of web-based applications, hosted technology infrastructure and professional services.


WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Advenix collects information for a client from the emails sent on behalf of the client to its customers. At a client’s request, Advenix may also collect information for a client from our website.

Personally Identifiable Information- Advenix hosts customer data on behalf of our clients or affiliates that may contain personally identifiable information. Advenix may provide the factility to update and collect this information on behalf of our clients through signup pages or subscription management pages on our website. For End-Users, this information may include your name and contact information, gender, birth date, occupation and industry, behavior patterns, purchase history, and other information.

Data ownership
Our clients and affiliates, not Advenix, own any data hosted and collected by Advenix on behalf of our client and affiliates. Advenix is contractually bound to keep our clients' and affiliates' customer data private and this data is never shared among clients or rented or sold to outside parties - except to the extent that is necessary to comply in responding to subpoenas, court orders or other legal proceedings.


HOW DO WE USE THIS INFORMATION?

For End-Users, Advenix uses the information you provide about yourself or others to complete the transaction for which the information is intended. Such transactions may include: administering a service, such as email, advertising sales, ecommerce; replying to support requests; or contacting you if you have granted us permission to do so.

Advenix will send opt-in email offers on behalf of our clients and affiliates to their customers (End-Users) and subscribers about third party services and products that are likely to be of interest. Advenix may use personally identifiable End-User information collected on behalf of our clients and affiliates to provide targeted content and commerce opportunities to End-Users based on their demographic and behavioral information.


HOW DO WE COLLECT THIS INFORMATION?

Use of cookies
Advenix uses cookies on certain email campaigns for the tracking and analysis services purposes. A cookie is set when a user clicks on a specifically coded link in an email to the recipient from the client website. The cookie is set every time a user clicks on the coded link. The cookie is read by the client website wherever the website wishes to identify traffic on its website generated by a marketing campaign. The cookie remains on the user’s hard drive after the browser is closed. The cookie set by Advenix expires 30 days after the last time a user clicks on the coded link in the relevant email.

Use of web sensors for tracking and analysis
Advenix and some clients and affiliates also use web sensor technology. A number of pages across client websites may have these sensors. When a user accesses these pages, notice of that visit is generated. This may or may not be tied to personally identifiable information, depending upon the purpose of the data collection. Advenix uses web sensor technology primarily to track the effectiveness of an email campaign and to optimize the understanding of user behavior on behalf of Advenix's clients and affiliates.


HOW LONG IS THIS INFORMATION RETAINED?

Advenix retains data collected for as long as each client requires it. This time period varies for each client. Web log data may be retained for an indefinite period of time.


OUR COMMITMENT DO DATA SECURITY

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures reasonably designed to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. In addition, personnel who have access to our database are trained to maintain and secure all information.


HOW YOU CAN ACCESS OR UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION

Advenix requires that all marketing email sent on behalf of our clients or affiliates contain an unsubscribe link. Advenix also requires that all clients and affiliates honor unsubscribe requests in a timely manner. For specific information on how to access information users have provided to a client website, users should consult the privacy policy of the client or affiliates website where they submitted the information.

Certain Advenix clients or affiliates who run subscription services may provide password-protected profile management capabilities where End-Users may access and update their personally identifiable information.

In addition, a user can opt out of an email list managed by Advenix by sending an email to netops@advenix.com. Users should indicate the email list from which they would like to be unsubscribed and the email address where they receive the messages.
